I’m so sleepy this morning. You always hear if you eat right and exercise, you will have an abundance of energy. I’m still waiting for that energy to kick in. I did somehow managed to get my mile walk this morning.
My workouts are important to me. Sometimes it’s hard to get motivated to do them, but I always feel better when I complete them. I do take a rest day or two when my body needs it.
My workout goals today:
Morning: 1-mile walk
12- minutes Stair Climber
1- mile treadmill
I wish I would have done a before and after photo. This is the best I could come up with. The photo on the left was taken in December 2016, and the right was May 2017. This is a 50lb difference. I can’t help but stare in amazement. I still can’t believe this is me.
I have to cut this short. I’m heading to the gym.
I heard somewhere that if you do something for 21 days, it will become a habit.
January 7, 2017- Day one at the gym I weighed in at 263 pounds. I got on the treadmill for 30 minutes at a speed of 2.5-2.8. I was out of breath and trying to make it through the workout. I went every day. Before I knew it, I had made it to the 21 days.
During this time, I joined weight watchers and changed the way I ate. By my first month anniversary, I had lost 15 pounds! Fast forward four months, I continue to workout and eat healthier. I now average 3.7 on the treadmill. I’m conquering the Stair Master and the Arc Trainer and I am now weighing in at 212! Oh, did I mention that my daughter joined me? She has lost 41 pounds and works out regularly and eats a healthy diet.
I love my new life. I amazed every time I beat my last record or lift at a higher weight. I learn something new about myself everyday. The decision to commit to 21 days was the best decision I ever made.
